I wanted to take the opportunity to give you a personal update. As some of you may have seen, I was recently diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer and, as a result, I underwent surgery yesterday. The surgery was successful and I should not require any further treatment. I am grateful for the doctors, nurses, and staff at Prisma Health. In addition, I appreciate the prayers and warm wishes from so many of my family, friends, and colleagues. I look forward to recovering quickly and being back at the State House in two weeks.
